The Coax Splicing Technician reads and discerns CATV maps and splices and repairs/replaces coaxial fittings and equipment. Knowledge of all types of coax cables and activations and rebalancing of plant is desired. You will use a variety of ladders, power tools, specialty tools, bucket trucks, and test equipment such as volt meters and digital signal meters.
This position requires daily repetitive use of all hand tools and bodily movement such as walking, bending, kneeling, grasping, reaching, lifting, standing, and climbing. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and for an extended period of time.
Must have valid driver’s license with ability to be covered under company insurance. Background check and drug test required.
At times this position will work outdoors in the heat, cold, and other weather conditions. We work year round, offer a full benefits package including paid holidays and paid time off you can actually use, and NO overnight travel!
During the busy summer season the workload can be heavy and include early and late shifts. Overnight shifts with double pay will be required at times.
